Ever since first year of University, Angel has participated in many extracurricular activities on campus. From being Events Director to holding the position as Vice President of Communications of MESA, Angel finds passion in working with people and taking on new challenges. This year she has decided take on something new and lead the LIVE Conference with 16 other Executives.
Her goal this year is to expand the Conference and provide Delegates with the unforgettable experience.
Angel is a big fan of Psychology. She enjoys talking to people and understanding their thoughts and feelings. In the future, she wishes to participate in social work to help those who may need help and support. Angel believes ice cream is the key to happiness. Mint Chocolate being her utmost favourite – don’t be surprised to see her walking around with a bowl during the conference!.
Jubair Ahmed

Entering his fourth year in university, Jubair Ahmed has taken a wide array of courses. It has allowed him to delve into various subjects and gain an appreciation of the many fields within academia. Ultimately, Jubair has a passion and curiosity for all things technology related and hopes to secure a job in the IT field after graduation. During his second year in UTSC, he attended LIVE Conference 2009 as a Delegate and was amazed by the high calibre experience.
Having served as the Web Communications Manager and Vice President of Communications within MESA, Jubair has a wealth of experience to bring to the table. As the 2011 LIVE Co-chair, he hopes to bring a new level of innovation to the Conference and build upon existing accomplishments. Jubair is extremely excited to work amongst his sixteen other teammates to make LIVE 2011 a year to remember!

Tommy Luong
External Relations Manager

Tommy is a second year student at UTSC and is in the Management program. He is planning on specializing in Accounting. Tommy was a Delegate at LIVE Conference 2010 and quickly learned that the Conference encompasses many important aspects of business including business analysis, planning, strategizing, and networking. These aspects are what ignited his passion to be a part of the Conference.
From the classroom to the gym, Tommy believes being a well-rounded individual is something to strive for and it facilitates self-actualization. This, in turn, leads to becoming a person of value. From time to time, Tommy has dreams about a zombie apocalypse coming becoming a reality. Whether this is a valid foreshadow of the future or influence from watching too many zombie flicks, that’s for you to decide.
Nicole Poulin
Internal Relations Manager

Nicole attended the LIVE Conference for the first time in 2010 as a Delegate and she knew that it would not be her last time. She decided to join the LIVE 2011 Executive Team because she wants to work behind the scenes and help create an amazing experience for the 2011 Delegates. The Conference in itself is a great learning experience and it gives Delegates the opportunity to learn new skills and develop existing ones.
She is passionate about Marketing because she loves coming up with creative and innovative ideas and seeing these ideas put into action. Nicole’s interests include figure skating, watching movies, and playing video games. When she’s not studying for an exam, she’s either out with friends or catching up on television shows. She is proud to say that she has seen every episode of The Office. Currently, her favourite shows are Community, How I Met Your Mother, and The Vampire Diaries.
Nisprih Mohan-Ram

An aspiring designer who lives life with passion and spirit, Nisprih knows that one of the best places to get a great mixture of the two is working towards preparing an amazing LIVE Conference. Coming into the Publications Manager role as MESA’s past President, she has always had a strong appreciation for the Conference and the team who puts it all together.
More than anything, she is eager to experiment with new ideas and collaborate with the other LIVE Executives to make LIVE 2011 even better than previous years – a challenge she’s more than excited to tackle. For her, it’s always just a matter of being creative. Deep-down a geek at heart, Nisprih also likes to relax playing video games, reading comic books or watching a variety of foreign shows. Seeking to join the entertainment or fashion industry in the marketing field one day, Nisprih prides herself on not only her dedication, but her unique sense of humour. She loves to laugh, but she loves to make others laugh even more.

Jeffrey Cai
Corporate Relations Manager

Jeffrey joined LIVE because he wanted to be involved with MESA and have the opportunity to gain experience while working in a professional business setting.
Jeffrey first realized his passion for Accounting when he was in high school. His first exposure to Accounting was from an introductory business course, and from then on, he knew he wanted to be a Chartered Accountant. He entered the Management program as a Pre-Management student, and worked hard in his first year in order to get into the Co-op program. He is currently working for a small Accounting firm but is determined to fulfill his dream of working for one of the “Big Four.” Jeffrey loves to play badminton and volleyball. In fact, he has won two men’s intramural volleyball championships.
Zahin Chowdhury
Corporate Relations Manager

Zahin is a third year student who joined the LIVE 2011 Executive Team to learn new things, meet new people, and have memorable experiences. As one of the Corporate Relations Managers, he is looking to build on the accomplishments of the previous LIVE teams while building a strong foundation for next year’s team.
After graduating, Zahin plans to pursue his CA Designation and eventually travel around the world. As a civic-conscious person, Zahin can be found around campus or the community promoting good causes and social responsibility. Zahin is interested in politics, comic books, and is a big movie buff, but he is most passionate about food as well as basketball. In fact, if a career in Accounting doesn’t work out, he plans to either win Top Chef or the NBA Finals.
He is also a very superstitious person, who does not open umbrellas inside and owns several good luck charms.
Precia Darshan
Corporate Relations Manager

Precia joined LIVE to be part of yet another of MESA’s amazing teams; she aspires to develop strong relationships with LIVE’s corporate sponsors and achieve new successes for LIVE Conference 2011. She is incredibly excited to collaborate with her new Corporate Relations team, as well as the LIVE team as a whole.
She loves meeting new people and exploring new roles. Her passion lies within discovery: trying something new, acquiring different skills, and achieving new limits. She enjoys travelling, embracing new cultures and eating pasta! Be it at work, school, or LIVE, she loves having a good time. She occupies a diverse appreciation for music and musical instruments. She plays the tabla–though she attempts to play any drum she encounters. Her future endeavours include travelling the world and getting into law school. She is very excited that her pet wolf turns five this year.
Karyn Xiong

Karyn joined the LIVE 2011 Executive team because she wants to be part of something that would enable her to utilize her knowledge and skills to their fullest potential. She also believes that it will be the perfect opportunity to enhance her abilities while working in a business setting. However, it is also important for Karyn to be passionate about what she was doing.
LIVE was the perfect thing to get Karyn started because she loves to plan events, in fact her greatest ambition in life is to become a project manager, and LIVE is just one big step towards achieving her goal. She does everything with great determination and she always strives to do her best. An example of this was during one of her rugby games where her contact fell out, she was so determined to finish the game she lubricated it with her saliva and stuck it right back into her eye.

Mandy Duong

Ever since her first experience at LIVE Conference a couple years ago, Mandy has been deeply intrigued by the intense yet educational competition, inspirational speakers, and fun social events. Consequently, she decided to go an extra step, become a LIVE Executive, and learn more about what it really takes to plan a successful conference such as LIVE.
In her spare time, Mandy is very passionate about her books (this does not include school books) and TV shows, as well as her friends. And as her friends would say, Mandy can be quite quirky at times as she often breaks out in song and dance at random intervals. However, Mandy is very passionate about animals, especially dogs, and hopes she can have a puppy one day. Most of all, she is very excited about LIVE 2011 and knows it will be spectacular!
Amiyo Hydari
Curriculum Manager

Amiyo is an enthusiastic and motivated individual who loves to tackle difficult challenges. Throughout his tenure at UTSC he has been involved frequently with MESA; first with the MVP Program as a Mentor and more recently as a Student Experience Director.
Amiyo has decided to join LIVE to challenge his abilities and contribute his wealth of experiences into a comprehensive curriculum. He strongly feels that the LIVE Conference challenges an overall-business mind and is very excited to be able to put his personal touch on a very successful history. In his off-time Amiyo loves to watch any sporting event and has a keen interest in astronomy. He particularly loves baseball and basketball and can be routinely seen passionately cheering on all of Toronto’s teams.
Stephanie Leung
Curriculum Manager

Stephanie is a 3rd year Co-op Management student who is pursuing her CA Designation and has recently completed her first co-op work term. She attended LIVE Conference 2010 as a Delegate and was thoroughly impressed with the calibre of the competition and the level of competitiveness that was displayed.
She has learned that those who you meet at this Conference make your experience even more worthwhile. Now, as Curriculum Manager, she is already anticipating the level of intensity during the Conference days. This is the driving force behind Stephanie being on the LIVE Executive Team this year; she wanted to be part of the creation of such a challenging conference. Outside of academics, Stephanie is interested in watching and playing many sports, especially volleyball and probably many others that you’d be surprised about. When time permits, she enjoys adding to the collection of jigsaw puzzles on her wall.

Wendy Huang
Events Manager

Wendy has always had a passion for planning weddings, concerts, fashion shows, and corporate events. She plans on streaming in Marketing to pursue her passion in events planning. In addition to gaining further experience and knowledge in the field, she also joined the LIVE 2011 Executive Team because she had an amazing experience as a Delegate in 2010.
In addition, she enjoys being involved in many extracurricular activities so she can have a memorable university experience and positively influence others around her. Some of Wendy’s hobbies include dancing, basketball, and travelling. With great ambitions and a driven personality, Wendy hopes to own her own clothing line or open a dance studio in the future to pass on her love of dance.
Stephanie Panou
Events Manager
Year of Study: 2nd
Stream: English/ French Major

Initially starting out as a MESA Associate in her first year, Stephanie knew that she wanted to continue being a part of the MESA family. With that, she decided to apply for the Events Manager position, a role much different than any she had done before. Now that she is one of the Events Managers, she plans on growing with the position and learning all she possibly can from the role.
With regards to passions, Stephanie truly has a love for literature. Her choice in majors is self-explanatory in that sense. Her favourite novels include Pride and Prejudice and Madame Bovary. You could also say that Stephanie has a passion for TV as she has over 25 different TV shows on DVD! If you tell her the title of a Friends episode, she can tell you exactly what happens in it. Interesting or nerdy, it is up to you to decide.

Nathan Tran Trinh
Information Technology Solutions Manager

Stream: Marketing

Nathan joined LIVE because he felt that he could add something new to the Conference. His goal is to bring the Conference to new heights and make it completely unique. He believes that LIVE will help him learn new skills and perfect the skills he already has.
Nathan ultimately joined LIVE to grow as a person. He is passionate about design, psychology, and technology. He has always been searching for something that would pull all those interests together. This ultimately led to his passion for internet marketing. Nathan is always searching for the latest internet marketing trends and hopes to start his own internet marketing/social media marketing company. If you ever have you own business and need help with the internet stuff then Nathan will be the guy to go to.
An interesting thing you should know about Nathan is that he is allergic to alcohol (isn’t that horrible?!).
Wallace Cheng
Conference Development Manager

Wallace is a person that is passionate about his tasks. Due to his outgoing personality, he has been actively involved with various volunteering experiences. His sociable character combined with his innovative mind has led him to discover his passion for Marketing. Being able to think creatively and build lasting relationships are just some of the intriguing aspects of Marketing that fascinates him and thus, he decided to join the LIVE Executive Team to further his understanding and experience.
During his spare time, Wallace enjoys learning about photography, enhancing his culinary skills, and playing sports. In addition, he has a strong passion for automobiles and aviation. While actively seeking a career dealing with automobiles, he is also training for his Private Pilot License at Buttonville Airport in hopes of managing his own airline one day. Maybe one day you’ll be able to fly with his airline.
Ivan Ha
Logistics Manager

Ivan is very excited to be the Logistics Manager for LIVE Conference 2011. As one of the Corporate Relations Managers for LIVE 2009 and 2010, he is looking forward to helping make this year’s LIVE conference an unforgettable experience for all the 2011 Delegates.
Ivan is an Accounting student currently entering his fourth year in the Co-op Management program. Ivan is aiming towards going on his third work term at PricewaterhouseCoopers in hopes of working towards his CA Designation. In the future, Ivan plans to climb the corporate ladder to become a successful corporate executive and perhaps retire early if his career path allows it. Aside from academics and extracurricular activities, Ivan likes to stay in shape and stay active. During his spare time, he enjoys playing a variety of sports such as basketball, tennis, and volleyball.
